Iran's FM: Preemptive measures against 'Israel' are envisaged
Amir-Abdollahian stresses that if "Israel" does not halt its genocide in Gaza, new battle fronts will be opened.
Preemptive measures against "Israel" are possible in the coming hours, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) in an interview.
Iran's top diplomat spoke to IRNA after meeting with several regional and international officials, including Hezbollah's Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
Amir-Abdollahian emphasized that "Israel" is running out of time in regard to its continued attacks on the Gaza Strip, adding that "Netanyahu must be stopped."
In the broadcast interview, the Iranian Foreign Minister said that there is a consensus among Resistance leaders that if a political solution was possible they would consider "an opportunity to do so," emphasizing that if "Israel" continues to commit crimes against civilians, any action is envisaged, IRNA reported
"Today, in a conversation with some foreign ministers of Islamic countries, we came to the conclusion that if the limited opportunities available to the United Nations are not used, the possibility of opening new fronts against the regime ("Israel") is inevitable."
He also pointed to the growing capabilities of the Axis of Resistance, saying that the Israeli government chose to deal with this reality in the worst way possible, that is, the genocide of children and women.
The diplomat drew a comparison between the ten-day-long aggression on the Gaza Strip and the 20-month-long conflict in Ukraine, highlighting that 740 children have been martyred in Gaza while 593 were killed in Ukraine.

Iran's FM takes a jab at US hypocrisy
After several US officials including President Joe Biden, warned Resistance factions against widening the scope of engagement, Amir-Abdollahian said the United States cannot continue to urge parties to exercise restraint while siding with the Israeli occupation.
"The time for these American messages is coming to an end. I warn you to stop the killing of children and women before it's too late instead of sending hypocritical messages," he underlined.
He also reiterated that Iran does not give orders to Resistance factions, underscoring their autonomy in terms of taking action against "Israel".
"If the continuation of war crimes is not stopped and the world does not witness the immediate cessation of crimes, other fronts will be opened."

Moreover, the Iranian Foreign Minister pointed to Saudi Arabia's reported halting of normalization talks with the Israeli occupation, following the events that transpired after October 7.
The talks which were pushed for by the Biden administration came to a standstill as Riyadh took a position in support of Gaza and condemned "Israel's" targeting of civilians.

Amir-Abdollahian hints at Sayyed Nasrallah's position
Interestingly, the official said that he discussed the situation with Hamas' Ismail Haniyeh, PIJ's Ziyad al-Nakhalah, and Hezbollah's Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
In this context, the Iranian Foreign Minister said that the "expansion of the war" would change the geographical map of the Israeli occupation.
He also revealed that Sayyed Nasrallah, who has not yet come out with an official statement on the matter, said that "if we do not take immediate action, we will have to fight Israeli occupation forces in Beirut."
