It is noteworthy that on April 23, the Iraqi authorities announced the launch of large-scale military operations to pursue ISIS remnants in five provinces in the country.
The Security Media Cell said in a statement that the second phase of the operations has been launched in the governorates of Al-Anbar, Nineveh, and Salah Al-Din to pursue ISIS terrorists.
The Media Cell announced on April 21 that F16 aircraft had targeted an ISIS location, killing four of the terrorist organization's militants.
