The Intelligence organization of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Fardis County in Alborz Province announced discovering a headquarters for a gang of rioters in the city and arresting 15 members, IRNA reported on Saturday.

According to the Iranian news agency, members of the gang were involved in all kinds of riotous movements in Fardis, "including distributing pamphlets inviting people to join the riots, making Molotov cocktails, and carrying and using cold weapons."

The IRGC indicated that the gang is linked to hostile channels and receives agendas to stir up unrest and destabilize security.

A couple of days ago, the Department of Public Relations of the Ministry of Security in the province of Sistan and Baluchestan announced that one of the members of the cell behind the assassination of Mowlavi Abdulvahed Rigi, a Sunni cleric and preacher of Imam Hussein Mosque in the city of Khash, was linked to an Arab country.

According to an official statement, the same cell had planned to assassinate another individual once the situation calmed down.

Similarly, the Iranian authorities published on Tuesday the confessions of members of a terrorist group that tried to plant an explosive device in one of the streets of the city of Shiraz prior to the funeral ceremony for the martyrs of the Shah-e-Cheragh shrine.

It is noteworthy that this operation was thwarted by the IRGC in the Maali Abad area, in the city of Shiraz. The bomb was discovered by the IRGC before it was planted by the terrorists.

On Monday, the Iranian authorities published the confessions of a terrorist who killed two security personnel and wounded 4 people in the Iranian city of Mashhad, before executing him.
