IRGC chief says 'nightmare' of retaliation terrifying 'Israel'
The commander of the IRGC underlines that the Israeli occupation is facing a crisis due to the dreaded Iranian retaliation to the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.
In a speech delivered at a conference honoring the martyrs of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, General Hossein Salami, commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), declared that the "nightmare of Iranian retaliation" has been relentlessly shaking "Israel" day and night.
Signs of the enemy's downfall are becoming increasingly evident, he underlined.
General Salami emphasized that the Israeli regime is experiencing confusion and internal unrest, with hundreds of thousands of protesters taking to the streets in the occupied territories. According to him, the Israeli occupation is trapped in a crisis with no escape.
"The Zionist enemy will taste the bitterness of Iranian revenge," Salami warned, adding that "Israel" would soon realize it cannot continue to manipulate Iran's red lines without severe consequences.
Salami also stated that the Israeli occupation is becoming increasingly isolated globally, while support for the Palestinian cause continues to increase, a trend that is now visible even in the heart of Europe.
He concluded his remarks with a stern warning to the Israeli occupation, saying, "The Israeli regime is now confined within the occupied lands, and its leaders are losing their mental stability, awaiting death at any moment. Rest assured, the response will come. When and how? This time, it will be different, and everyone will know that Israel can no longer strike and escape unscathed."
Former IRGC commander Mohsen Rezaei said in an interview with CNN released on in late August that his country's retaliation to the Israeli assassination of Hamas' politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran will be well measured so that Prime Minister Benjamin can not "save himself" from the crises he's in.
"Iranian actions will be very calculated ones," Rezaei said, adding, "We have investigated the possible repercussions. And we will not let Netanyahu, who is sinking in a swamp, save himself."

The former top IRGC official said that there has to be a ceasefire in Gaza soon, criticizing the United States and "Israel" for prolonging the war on the Strip.
"If in the first weeks of the Gaza war, the United States had stopped Israel and [Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu, the war would not extend," he said. "So the main element of the extension of the war are the US and Israel. The more this war extends, the more the United States will be damaged."
Iranian media quoted a spokesperson for the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps as saying that Iran's retaliation will not replicate previous ones, and that "the waiting period for this response may be prolonged."
"For now, the Zionists must live in instability, and Iran’s response may not be a repeat of past operations," said Ali Mohammad Naeini, emphasizing that "the response scenarios are not the same."
