Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) has added new equipment to its naval arsenal, marking the beginning of a new chapter in its capabilities.
Specialized floating, subsurface, and missile defensive equipment with new capabilities were added to the arsenal of the IRGC's Naval Combat Organization.
Moreover, for the first time, intelligent submarines were added to the IRGC's capabilities. These new submarines have high maneuverability, a speed of 95 knots, and are capable of carrying and firing various missiles and rockets.
The ceremony wherein these new additions were unveiled was attended by IRGC Commander-in-Chief Major General Hossein Salami and the Commander of the IRGC's Navy Force Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri.
These new achievements, Tangsiri said, will significantly increase Iran's deterrence capabilities, adding that this marks a new chapter in the IRGC's military power in its naval missions.
Recently, the Aerospace Forces of the IRGC revealed two bases for missiles and drones. These two bases include surface-to-surface missile systems with advanced equipment, as well as attack drones capable of penetrating enemy air defense and avoiding radars.
