IRGC Quds Force's Esmail Qaani alive and well, official confirms
The deputy commander of Iran’s IRGC underlines that the Quds Force chief is alive and well in light of claims about his martyrdom.
The IRGC’s Quds Force Commander Brigadier General Esmail Qaani is safe despite recent rumors regarding his well-being, confirmed Brigadier General Iraj Masjedi, Deputy Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force for Coordination Affairs.
During a local ceremony at the Shahid Beheshti Cultural Complex on Monday, Masjedi addressed the issue, stating that Qaani was currently carrying out his mission without disruption in light of escalating regional Israeli aggressions.
“He is in good health and is carrying out his activities. Some ask us to issue a statement… there is no need for this,” he was quoted as saying by Iranian state media.
Addressing the ongoing Israeli aggression in the region, Masjedi condemned and highlighted the recent Israeli attacks on Lebanon following what he referred to as a "brutal massacre" in Gaza and accused the Israeli occupation forces of initiating the war by assassinating Hezbollah Secretary-General Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
He further indicated that the Israeli occupation’s strikes had led to the killing of numerous civilians in the Southern Suburb of Beirut.
On Gaza
On the ground, Masjedi noted the failure of “Israel’s” ground incursions in Palestine, stating that Resistance fighters killed a significant number of Israeli forces.
The Palestinian Resistance in Gaza continues to defend its lands, one year after Operation Al-Aqsa Flood and the subsequent Israeli genocide. On October 7, 2024, while Palestinian Resistance fighters engaged in fierce confrontations against invading occupation soldiers, they also launched rockets at Tel Aviv, in an unrelenting commitment to continue their operations and strike enemy strongholds.
The Israeli occupation admitted on Sunday that an Israeli soldier died of previous wounds he sustained in the Gaza Strip. The recognition comes at a time when the Palestinian resistance is confronting the occupation's attempts to infiltrate east of Jabalia, north of the Gaza Strip.
The al-Qassam Brigades announced that its fighters fiercely confronted the Israeli occupation forces across several combat axes in northern Gaza, on Sunday.
The al-Quds Brigades fighters, in cooperation with the al-Qassam Brigades, were able to snipe an Israeli soldier east of Beit Hanoun, in the northern region of the Gaza Strip.
For its part, the al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades, in cooperation with the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, targeted the enemy's command and control site in the Netzarim axis with heavy mortar shells.
