IRGC says 'Israel' was 'born in a cradle of terrorism', response near
Major General Hossein Salami said the Israeli regime's creation came about through the forced displacement of Palestinians backed by Western entities.
The Israeli regime is an entity created out of terrorism, and it will fall victim to its own transgressions, Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) chief commander Hossein Salami said on Monday.
“The Zionist regime was born in a cradle of terrorism, and is not in possession of any of the elements that constitute a nation,” Major General Salami said during a National Journalists' Day event held in Tehran.
In his address, the commander emphasized that the occupation's existence was created through the forced displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, referring to the 1948 Nakba that was backed by Western entities. He added that the regime continues to survive by engaging in daily acts of terrorism in the Middle East region through offensive operations that also aim to expand its occupation.
'Vortex on fire'
The Major General highlighted a few of the Israeli regime's acts of aggression, including the murder of Iranian nuclear scientists and the recent assassination of Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, describing these heinous crimes as a "self-made vortex of fire" surrounding the occupation.
"They think that through these measures, they would succeed in prolonging their survival," Salami stated.
“These [atrocities] are, however, holes that they (the Israelis) dug for themselves, and will gradually bury themselves in,” Salami said, asserting that “Once they receive a strong response, they would understand that they have committed another miscalculation.”
Iran vows stronger response than 'Operation True Promise': Gharibabadi
Kazem Gharibabadi, the Deputy Chief for International Affairs of the Iranian Judiciary, warned in an interview for Al Mayadeen on Sunday that the Israeli occupation would face severe repercussions for its actions, such that "it would not dare to commit further acts of terrorism or violate Iran’s sovereignty."
He emphasized that the response to the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas' political bureau, would be "more decisive than Operation True Promise".
Gharibabadi described the Israeli action as "an act of terrorism that defies international resolutions," arguing that it reveals not the strength but the impotence of the Israeli entity.
He asserted that the killing of innocent civilians, including women and children in Gaza, demonstrates the defeat of the Israeli entity.
