IRGC targets, destroys terrorist sites in Erbil with artillery weapons
The IRGC confirms arresting five terrorists who were planning to carry out terrorist activities on Iranian territory.
The Iranian Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Force targeted and destroyed Wednesday morning bases of terrorist groups in Erbil - the capital of the Iraqi Kurdistan region - with artillery, Tasnim reported.
According to the news agency, "No details have been reported so far about possible fatalities and damages in the strike."
Earlier, the IRGC confirmed in a statement that its ground forces arrested five members of a terrorist group in Baneh city who were planning to carry out terrorist activities on Iranian territory.
The statement pointed out that the terrorists' confessions led the IRGC to precisely target the bases of the terrorist groups in Erbil on Wednesday.
It is noteworthy that the IRGC targeted in March an Israeli "strategic center" in Iraq with missiles after Kurdish authorities in northern Iraq reported cross-border missile fire.
According to an IRGC statement, a "strategic center for conspiracy and mischiefs of the Zionists was targeted by powerful precision missiles fired by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps," following the Israeli occupation's crimes.
