Israeli aggression across Lebanon continues, medical staff targeted
The Israeli occupation continues to expand and intensify the scope of its aggression on Lebanon, particularly systematically targeting Lebanon's healthcare system.
Israeli airstrikes struck residential buildings in the area between the Lebanese University and al-Laylaki neighborhoods in the Hadath region in Beirut's Southern Suburb, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported on Friday noon.
Another airstrike targeted the vicinity of the al-Raya area in Sfeir in the direction of the Saint Therese area, also in Beirut's Southern Suburb.

Earlier in the morning, one member of the Lebanese Civil Defense was killed and several others, including a journalist, were injured after an Israeli airstrike deliberately targeted the gathering in the Suburb. The group was trying to remove the rubble and report on the intense aggression on al-Mrayjeh, last night post-midnight.
Dozens of loud explosions were heard in the al-Mraijeh area in the Southern Suburb of Lebanon's capital Beirut, just past midnight on Friday, due to an Israeli air raid.
Residents of Saida and Sour in South Lebanon heard the loud explosions, which speaks to the magnitude of the strikes launched by Israeli warplanes, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported.
It is worth noting that the targeted area is a heavily populated residential area in Lebanon. Al Mayadeen's correspondent said residential areas suffered extensive damage as a result of the Israeli strikes.
Systematic targeting of Lebanon's healthcare system
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in South Lebanon reported that two paramedics were killed after an ambulance belonging to the Islamic Health Association was directly targeted in Tebnin.
In a related context, the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) revealed that Marjayoun Hospital in South Lebanon is now out of service after its medical crew was forced to evacuate after an Israeli airstrike targeted a vehicle used by the Islamic Health Association in the hospital's vicinity, killing four.
The Israeli occupation has been systematically trying to destroy Lebanon's healthcare system by targeting paramedics, civil defense, and emergency centers.
An Israeli airstrike recently targeted an Islamic Health Association center in the village of Khirbet Selem, killing a number of paramedics and injuring several others.
Between October 2 and October 3, the Israeli aggression deliberately murdered 28 health workers in Lebanon, according to the World Health Organization Director-General.
Aggression on South continues
This afternoon, the occupation's Air Force carried out an airstrike targeting the town of Odaisseh in South Lebanon. Another airstrike targeted a building in the town of Toul, in the Nabatieh region, and another building in the town of Deir Qanoun al-Nahr.
Additionally, the IOF targeted the area between the towns of Kawthariyat al-Siyyad and al-Ghassaniyah, as well as the area between Kawthariyat al-Siyyad and Qaaqa'iyyat al-Jisr in South Lebanon.
In the same context, an Israeli airstrike targeted a building near Darwish Center on the main road between Shoukin and Nabatieh, amid reports of injuries. Another strike hit the intersection of Ksara Bsefr on the road between Dweir and Ansar, according to the National News Agency.
The town of Ayta al-Shaab was also hit by an Israeli airstrike, coinciding with a similar strike on the town of Kfarsir and another strike on the town of Yaroun in South Lebanon, the NNA reported.
Additionally, the occupation's artillery shelled the outskirts of the towns of Majdal Zoun, Shiheen, and al-Jibbain, as well as the outskirts of Alma al-Shaab, Tayr Harfa, Naqoura, and the surrounding valleys with heavy 155mm shells.
Lebanon Under Attack
In Lebanon’s Bekaa region, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that the occupation carried out airstrikes on villages west of Baalbek, including the town of Taraya, leading to the closure of internal roads there.
Meanwhile, the National News Agency stated that Israeli enemy aircraft launched strikes on the heights of the towns of Janta and Halba, conducted three airstrikes around the city of Hermel, and executed two strikes on the outskirts of the western mountain range.
The Israeli occupation persists in its brutal and barbaric aggression against Lebanon, launching assaults on the Bekaa Valley, Baalbek-Hermel, the South, and the Southern Suburb of Beirut. This morning, the violence escalated, reaching the Lebanese-Syrian border.
In the latest strikes, Israeli warplanes targeted the road connecting the Masnaa and Jdeidet Yabous border crossings with two missiles, as reported by Al Mayadeen's correspondent.
This resulted in the suspension of traffic in both directions between Syria and Lebanon.
Caretaker Transport Minister, Ali Hamieh, informed Reuters that an Israeli strike hit near Lebanon's Masnaa border crossing with Syria, cutting off a road used by hundreds of thousands of people to flee Israeli bombardments in recent days.
