Tensions escalated in the occupied West Bank on Sunday as fighters from al-Quds Brigades – Tulkarm engaged Israeli forces in fierce clashes across multiple fronts in Nur Shams refugee camp. According to the group, its fighters bombarded Israeli troops and military vehicles with heavy gunfire and explosive devices.

In a statement, al-Quds Brigades reported that its fighters detonated a pre-planted Shujaa 1 explosive device against Israeli forces on the main street of Nur Shams, resulting in confirmed casualties. Another explosive device of the same type was used to disable an Israeli D9 military bulldozer in the Saif area.

The group also claimed responsibility for detonating multiple explosives targeting Israeli reinforcements and engineering vehicles on Nablus Street, causing further confirmed injuries.

Meanwhile, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades – Tulkarm stated that its fighters have been engaged in intense firefights with Israeli troops since early Sunday morning. The group reported targeting Israeli soldiers and vehicles with gunfire and explosive devices, leading to direct hits.

The Palestinian Red Crescent confirmed that a woman was killed and her husband seriously wounded following an Israeli airstrike on the Nur Shams camp.

Palestinian media sources reported that Israeli forces, backed by bulldozers, stormed Nur Shams camp amid sounds of explosions and fierce confrontations. Israeli media also indicated that the military operation had been expanded to encompass the camp.

For over two weeks, Israeli forces have continued their crackdown in Tulkarm, targeting residents and their properties. Military reinforcements, particularly ground troops, were been deployed across the city and camp, restricting movement and imposing daily hardships on civilians.

Israeli troops have maintained their siege of the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital, stationing forces at its entrances and obstructing ambulance operations. They have also taken control of surrounding commercial buildings, converting them into military outposts and sniper positions.

Residents of the Tulkarm refugee camp face dire humanitarian conditions as Israeli forces continue to demolish homes and businesses, causing widespread displacement. The destruction of infrastructure has left the camp without water, electricity, and communications, while municipal repair crews struggle to restore essential services due to Israeli military restrictions.

Resistance fighters ambush Israeli forces

Palestinian Resistance fighters continued to engage Israeli forces in the northern West Bank on Saturday, with multiple factions announcing attacks on occupation forces.

The Al-Qassam Brigades – Tulkarm reported that its fighters, in coordination with Al-Quds Brigades and Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, targeted an Israeli infantry unit in southern Tulkarm, resulting in confirmed casualties. The operation, carried out at 12:20 AM (local time), was detailed in a statement released on Telegram.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades also launched attacks on Israeli infantry near the Tulkarm checkpoint and engaged another force at the city's eastern entrance.

Gunfights were reported in the Jenin refugee camp, where Israeli forces have killed, wounded, and displaced residents.

The Israeli occupation continues its assault on West Bank civilians through a series of aggressive measures, including home raids, property destruction, and large-scale demolitions.
