Israeli attacks on Iran early Friday resulted in injuries to at least 50 people, AFP reported, citing Iranian state media. The aggression led to extensive damage and widespread concern, particularly due to the high number of civilian casualties.
According to Al Mayadeen's correspondent, the Israeli aggression on Iran targeted residential buildings, in addition to military sites and nuclear facilities. This further underscores the civilian nature of many of the casualties and raises serious questions about the deliberate targeting of non-military infrastructure.

The human toll of the latest escalation raised international concerns about the safety of civilians amid rising tensions in the region.
According to AFP, "Following the Israeli attack, about 50 injured people were transferred to Chamran Hospital (in Tehran), at least 35 of whom are women and children." The report did not confirm any deaths at the time.

On Friday at dawn, the Israeli occupation military confirmed the launch of a broad aerial offensive targeting Iran’s nuclear program. In an official statement, the occupation military said it carried out a "precise, preemptive strike" in Iran, "with the goal of damaging Iran’s nuclear program."
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Iran reported hearing multiple explosions in the capital, Tehran. Footage circulating on social media documents severe damage to a number of residential buildings in the Iranian capital.
Moreover, the Israeli Air Force announced that it struck dozens of sites across Iran, including facilities linked to its nuclear program and other military infrastructure, the military stated.
It dubbed the operation “Rising Lion".
