A Lebanese citizen was martyred and another injured in an Israeli drone strike that targeted a vehicle in the town of Zawtar al-Gharbiya, located in the Nabatieh district of southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health confirmed on Friday evening that the strike, carried out by an Israeli occupation drone, resulted in one martyr and one wounded civilian. The targeted vehicle was in motion in Zawtar al-Gharbiya at the time of the attack.
Additional rtrikes reported in Toul and Khiam
Two other Lebanese citizens were also killed in a separate Israeli airstrike on a vehicle in the southern town of Toul, also located in the Nabatieh district.
According to the ministry’s statement, the Israeli occupation’s strike hit the car directly, causing significant destruction and damaging nearby property. The assault marks yet another violation of the ceasefire agreement reached on November 27, 2024.

Earlier in the day, Al Mayadeen’s correspondent reported machine gun fire from the newly established Israeli Hamames military position, located inside Lebanese territory. The fire was directed toward Wadi al-Asafir, south of the city of Khiam.
Khiam also witnessed two consecutive airstrikes by Israeli occupation drones during the early morning hours. The strikes targeted a bulldozer operating in the area.
Health authorities confirmed the casualties resulting from the strikes in Zawtar al-Gharbiya and Toul, highlighting the continuing danger to civilians amid rising Israeli aggression along the southern border.
Ceasefire violations persist
The Israeli occupation continues to launch air raids and artillery strikes on several southern Lebanese towns and villages, targeting civilians and infrastructure despite the standing ceasefire.
On Wednesday, an Israeli drone strike in Ain Qana killed one civilian, adding another attack to the series of strikes that contravene the November 27, 2024, ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and "Israel".
In the previous days, multiple Israeli drones and reconnaissance aircraft violated Lebanese airspace over Beirut and its Southern Suburb at low altitudes. Reports indicate that drones circled near the presidential palace in Baabda, the most sustained aerial activity over the capital since the November 2024 ceasefire.
On October 20, Israeli warplanes conducted air raids on the outskirts of Jarmaq and al-Mahmoudiyah. Israeli occupation forces stationed at the al-Summaqah outpost fired toward the outskirts of Kfar Chouba before launching an artillery shell into the same area.
Repeated Israeli attacks, extending across southern Lebanon, the Bekaa Valley, and Beirut’s Southern Suburb, have resulted in dozens of casualties and significant damage to civilian infrastructure. Since the ceasefire in November 2024, over 270 Lebanese civilians have been killed in Israeli strikes.
