In response to the ongoing Israeli aggression against Jenin and its refugee camp, the Palestinian Presidency considered that the Israeli occupation forces' assault on the city is another war crime against the Palestinian people.

The spokesperson for the Palestinian presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, stressed in a statement that "what the Israeli occupation government is doing in the city of Jenin and its camp is a new war crime against our defenseless people."

Abu Rudeineh underlined that the Palestinian people will not surrender or raise the white flag and "will remain steadfast on their land in the face of this brutal aggression until the occupation is defeated and freedom is achieved."

The Palestinian official pointed out that "all these crimes committed by the occupation government and its terrorist settlers will not achieve security and stability for them unless our Palestinian people also feel them."

Elsewhere, Abu Rudeineh called on the international community "to break its shameful silence and take serious action to compel Israel to stop its aggression against our Palestinian people and to hold it accountable for all these crimes."

On its part, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign strongly condemned the Israeli occupation's "savage aggression" against Jenin and its camp, calling for an urgent international intervention to stop it.

In a statement, the Ministry considered that the latest aggression is part of the official Israeli occupation policy of using military force against defenseless Palestinian people, holding the Israeli government fully responsible for its repercussions.

The statement urged the International Criminal Court (ICC) to break its silence and start holding the Israeli war criminals accountable.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that the number of Palestinians killed in the Israeli aggression on Jenin and its camp rose to five martyrs.

Earlier, a field source told Al Mayadeen that Israeli occupation forces storming Jenin are being faced with fierce resistance as Palestinian factions have stationed their most experienced fighters on the camp's entrances to confront any military incursion.

The field source pointed out that "the sudden first strike did not lead to the [Resistance] fighters' collapse or confusion, and they are working according to a well-studied plan despite the difference in capabilities."

"Explosive devices constitute the biggest dilemma for the occupation forces, and as the forces advance more [inside the camp], the fiercer and heavier the resistance they will face."

In a similar context, sources in the Palestinian Resistance told Al Mayadeen that the Israeli occupation special forces have failed to carry out their incursion into the Jenin camp, noting that so far, they are only operating on the outskirts of the camp.

The sources pointed out that Israeli occupation forces are trying to separate the Jenin camp from its surroundings by bulldozing roads and erecting berms.

According to the sources, part of the Israeli military operation targets the infrastructure of Jenin and its camp, and there is a clear Israeli desire to take revenge against the camp.

"Solidarity is prevalent among all Resistance forces to confront the enemy with the capabilities they possess, and this aggression will fail and will not achieve security for Israel," the sources added.

Furthermore, another field source told Al Mayadeen that employing tanks in Jenin would shift the battle toward a different scenario to involve not only Jenin but also other battlefields.

The source noted that the fighters in Jenin are operating according to a well-studied plan, and the surprise attack has failed to disrupt their discipline.
