Israeli aggression targets Syrian army positions in Sweida
A Syrian army source says the aggression was launched from the Lebanese airspace.
The Israeli occupation army carried out an aggression late Wednesday targeting Syrian Arab Army positions in Sweida, southern Syria.
A Syrian military source said the attack was carried out at 10:50 pm from the direction of Lebanon's Baalbak, confirming that it only resulted in some material damage.
For his part, Al Mayadeen's correspondent had reported earlier hearing explosions in the airspace of Sweida, southern Syria.

The Israeli aggression came hours after a militant group believed to be part of ISIS dormant terrorist cells launched an attack on Syrian army positions and allied forces in the Syrian Desert (Badia), resulting in the martyrdom of 21 and the injury of 9.
This comes as Resistance factions, most notably the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, have been carrying out operations against US occupation bases in Iraq and Syria for the past weeks, in support of Palestinians in Gaza, who are being subjected to ongoing Israeli massacres, which resulted so far in over 10,500 martyrs, over half of which are children and women.
Syria's Foreign Minister put the October 7 Operation Al-Aqsa Flood into its historical context, saying, "The main factor for escalation in occupied Palestinian territories is the injustice which our people have been facing for decades."
The statement pointed to the "monstrous war" led by the Israeli occupation to end the Palestinian cause "by committing massacres and genocidal crimes."
