Israeli crimes unacceptable, to not go unpunished: Iran's Pezeshkian
The Iranian President reiterates Tehran's call for Islamic countries to take a firm stand and not remain indifferent to the crimes committed by "Israel".
The violations and crimes committed by the Israeli regime cannot go unanswered, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian underlined at a cabinet meeting on Sunday.
Touching on the martyrdom of Hezbollah's Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in an Israeli assassination, Pezeshkian said that "such a crime once again proved that this criminal regime does not abide by any international standards and frameworks."
"The claims made by the heads of the US and EU countries, who promised a ceasefire in exchange for Iran's non-response to the assassination of Martyr [Ismail] Haniyeh, were all lies. Giving such criminals a chance will only embolden them to commit more crimes," he pointed out.
The Iranian President also strongly condemned "Israel's" latest aggression on Yemen.

Pezeshkian reiterated Iran's call for Islamic countries to take a firm stand and not remain indifferent to the crimes committed by "Israel", adding that "the Lebanese combatants and Mujahideen should not be abandoned alone in this battle."
He further warned that the Israeli regime would continue its assaults, targeting countries within the Axis of Resistance, and would kill more innocent women and children.
He mentioned that the assassination of leaders of resistance movements, such as Hezbollah, has proven futile, as the power vacuum will quickly be filled by their comrades.
The Iranian President concluded that the Iranian Health Ministry is fully prepared to provide Lebanon with all medical assistance it needs amid the ongoing Israeli aggression on the country.
Assassination of Nilforooshan will not go unanswered
Earlier on Sunday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi pledged that "Israel's" killing of Brigadier General Abbas Nilforooshan, the IRGC's Deputy Commander for Operations, will not go unanswered.
According to an IRGC statement, General Nilforushan was killed in an Israeli bombing in Beirut on Friday, along with Hezbollah's leader, martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
In a letter to IRGC Chief Commander Major General Hossein Salami, Araghchi stressed that "this vicious and cowardly act is another clear sign of the terrorist and criminal nature of the Zionist regime and its well-known supporters."
"Without a doubt, this horrible crime of the aggressor Zionist regime will not go unanswered," he declared, vowing that Iran's diplomatic apparatus will utilize all of its political, diplomatic, judicial, and international powers to pursue "the criminals and their supporters."

He also expressed his sympathies to Leader of the Islamic Revolution's Leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei, General Salami, and the Iranian people on the martyrdom of General Nilforooshan.
Araghchi noted that the martyr had a remarkable record of true endeavors during the Iran-Iraq war, as well as assisting the resistance front against terrorism and Zionism.
