Two people were killed in an Israeli strike on the al-Asira neighborhood of Baalbek in eastern Lebanon, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday evening.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent earlier reported a drone strike on the area that killed two, according to a preliminary toll.
This strike comes as part of "Israel's" sustained attacks on various Lebanese regions, in addition to its occupation of five points in the south of the country, in violation of the ceasefire declaration that began on November 27, 2024.
Just two days prior, on September 15, Israeli fighter jets struck a building in the Ksar Zaatar area west of the city of Nabatieh in southern Lebanon, an attack that wounded 12 civilians, including four children and seven women.
Earlier on the same day, an Israeli drone launched a two-missile strike targeting a civilian vehicle in the town of Yater.
Israeli warplanes also struck the Zahrani coastal area earlier this month, killing four and injuring 17, including children, when bombs targeted an industrial hangar on the Deir Taqla farm between Ansariyeh and Adloun. Just days later, another Israeli drone targeted a motorcycle on the road between Aytit and Ain Baal, killing its rider instantly.
