Israeli forces say 573 troops killed, 2918 injured since October 7
Israeli news broadcaster Kan recently reported that the Security Ministry is preparing "to accommodate around 20,000 new casualties in the army."
The Israeli occupation army reported on Saturday the deaths of 573 Israeli servicemembers and the injury of 2918 others since October 7th, 2023.
Earlier, Israeli news sources reported the critical injury of two soldiers from the Maglan special unit in battles in the southern Gaza Strip.
In a similar vein, Israeli news broadcaster Kan recently reported that the Security Ministry is preparing "to accommodate around 20,000 new casualties in the army," while the actual number of casualties is much larger than what is being reported.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Resistance continues to carry out operations against invading Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF). On the 134th day of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) movement reported multiple operations targeting invading forces.
They announced the shelling of occupied Askalan and Gaza Envelope settlements with rocket barrages and also announced carrying out precision artillery and missile strikes on an Israeli military supply line and gathering, east of Khan Younis.
In the same area, the al-Mujahideen Brigades fighters targeted Israeli occupation forces' gatherings with mortar shells.
The Brigades shared footage of its operations against the Israeli occupation forces' positions and gatherings in the advancing axes in Khan Younis, using mortar shells and short-range rockets.

Last Sunday, the Resistance announced that its fighters were able to eliminate 10 Israeli troops in the town of Aabasan from point-blank range, in the east of the city of Khan Younis. In the same area, al-Qassam fighters detonated an anti-personnel explosive device, killing and injuring several troops of another Israeli force.
Monday saw the Palestinian Islamic Jihad's (PIJ) al-Quds Brigades ambushing an Israeli unit in the town of Maen to the east of the city of Khan Younis. Several fighters awaited the arrival of an Israeli force to the site where the ambush was planned to take place. Upon arrival, fighters directly targeted the force with anti-personnel shells, thermobaric shells, and assault rifles, killing and injuring its members.
