Israeli military says three soldiers injured in Jenin battles
The al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades – Jenin said its fighters engaged in intense confrontations with Israeli forces across various battlefronts in Jenin, delivering direct hits.
The Israeli occupation military confirmed that three of its soldiers were injured, one critically, during confrontations in Jenin in the occupied West Bank, where Palestinian Resistance fighters continue to repel the Israeli aggression on the city.
The al-Quds Brigades – Jenin Brigade announced Saturday that its fighters engaged in fierce battles with occupation forces in the al-Damj area. The Brigades said its fighters targeted Israeli forces and military vehicles with heavy gunfire and explosive devices and inflicting confirmed casualties on the raiding forces.
In the early hours of the morning, fighters from the Jenin Brigades managed to target a grouping of Israeli military vehicles in the al-Basateen area with a KJ37-typed explosive device, achieving confirmed hits.
Meanwhile, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades – Jenin stated that its Resistance fighters engaged in intense confrontations with Israeli forces across various battlefronts in Jenin using automatic weapons and explosive devices, dealing direct hits to the occupation forces.
This comes as the occupation continues its assault on Jenin, imposing a curfew on the camp and raiding Palestinian homes.
Palestinian writer Mohammed Jaradat told Al Mayadeen on Friday that the Israeli military campaign in Jenin is the most extensive, noting that "Israel is betting on achieving its goal of neutralizing the Jenin Battalion."
In an exclusive interview for Al Mayadeen, Jaradat emphasized that Tel Aviv seeks to destroy the Jenin refugee camp, adding that the raid conducted by the Israeli military chief of staff and the head of Shin Bet into the camp yesterday is part of an Israeli media campaign.
He argued that "everything happening in Jenin indicates that the occupation is attempting to compensate for its failure in Gaza."

UN seriously concerned by 'Israel's' 'war fighting' methods in West Bank
The United Nations has expressed serious concerns about the Israeli military's actions during its recent raid in the West Bank, describing the use of force as employing methods "developed for war fighting."
"We are deeply concerned by the use of unlawful lethal force in Jenin, in the occupied West Bank," UN human rights office spokesman Thameen al-Kheetan told a media briefing in Geneva.
He emphasized that "the deadly Israeli operations in recent days raise serious concerns about unnecessary or disproportionate use of force, including methods and means developed for war fighting, in violation of international human rights law, norms and standards applicable to law enforcement operations."
"This includes multiple airstrikes and apparently random shooting at unarmed residents attempting to flee or find safety."
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has defended the aggression, codenamed “Iron Wall”, as a mission to “eradicate terrorism” in the area.
Al-Kheetan further reported that at least 12 Palestinians had been killed and 40 injured since Tuesday, according to the UN rights office’s verification, adding that most of those killed were reportedly unarmed.
He called for thorough, independent investigations into all killings that occur in the context of law enforcement and stressed the need for accountability for unlawful killings.
Al-Kheetan noted an uptick in violence by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the West Bank following the implementation of the ceasefire in Gaza, including attacks on villages, stoning vehicles, and arson targeting homes and cars.
"We are also concerned by repeated comments from some Israeli officials about plans to expand settlements further still, in a fresh breach of international law. We recall again that the transfer by Israel of its own civilian population into territories it occupies also amounts to a war crime," he added.
