Israeli occupation killed 150 people in Gaza in one day
The Israeli occupation forces have ravaged Gaza over the past day, killing over 150 people as the siege on the north persists.
The municipality of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza declared Wednesday the city a disaster zone due to the ongoing Israeli blockade and the paramount destruction.
The municipality reported that "the city is without food, water, hospitals, doctors, essential services, or means of communication," urging an end to the siege and the establishment of a safe corridor to deliver medical supplies, food, fuel, civil defense equipment, and ambulances.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that "over 150 people have been martyred in recent hours amid ongoing massacres across the Gaza Strip." Meanwhile, heavy Israeli bombardment has continued to target the besieged area of Jabalia in northern Gaza.
Several civilians were killed and others wounded early Wednesday when Israeli forces bombed tents sheltering displaced people in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, and Khan Younis in the South.
According to sources, Israeli airstrikes hit a tent in Deir al-Balah and another in the Pyramids area northwest of Khan Younis, resulting in the death of at least three people and injuries to others.
In Khan Younis' Sheikh Nasser neighborhood, several residents lost their lives in an Israeli strike on a home. Another attack on a house in Sheikh Nasser killed three individuals, including a child and a woman.
Massacres persist
The Israeli occupation committed a new massacre in northern Gaza on Tuesday evening, targeting a residential area in Beit Lahia, which resulted in 16 martyrs, including children, with others still missing beneath the rubble.
The spokesperson for Gaza's Civil Defense, Mahmoud Basal, said that there have been urgent calls for Civil Defense teams to head to the location of the massacre. However, he reiterated that there are no longer Civil Defense or medical services in northern Gaza.
Additionally, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that the Israeli occupation forces destroyed homes around the al-Fakhoura School, west of Jabalia camp in northern Gaza.
Our correspondent pointed out that the Israeli bombardment extended to other areas of the Strip, where two more Palestinians were killed, and others were injured in artillery shelling on the Safatwi area, northwest of Gaza City.
Moreover, according to Al Mayadeen's correspondent, Israeli warships opened fire at the beach opposite Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
The Gaza Health Ministry confirmed earlier on Tuesday that the number of Palestinians killed since the start of the Israeli war on October 7, 2023, has risen to 43,061 martyrs, in addition to 101,223 injuries.
