Israeli warplanes destroy improvised cemetery in Gaza
The director of civil defense in northern Gaza explains that civil defense teams are trying their best to rebury the bodies of the martyrs after an Israeli airstrike destroyed the cemetery.
Bodies of Palestinian martyrs have surfaced from the improvised cemetery established by Palestinians in Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza due to Israeli warplanes attacking the cemetery today.
The director of civil defense in northern Gaza, Ahmad al-Kahlot informed Anadolu that “The Israeli army bombed a mass grave containing the bodies of hundreds of martyrs who were recently buried."
“The bombing resulted in the destruction of the cemetery and the emergence of bodies from beneath the soil,” he stressed.
He added that civil defense teams are trying their best to rebury the bodies of the martyrs.
Since the beginning of the Israeli genocide in Gaza and with more than 30,000 Palestinians martyred, Palestinians have had to improvise collective and individual graves in many locations from residential neighborhoods, house yards, sports fields, hospitals, and even schools.

'Israel' admits abducted 350 bodies from Gaza
It was revealed in early February that the Israeli occupation has abducted over 350 bodies from the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the war, claiming that they sought to verify whether there were any Israeli captives among them.
Earlier, in January, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) also verified reports of their soldiers excavating graves in a Gaza cemetery, but also claimed that the action was taken to ensure that "the bodies of Israeli captives were not buried there."
In response to an inquiry from NBC regarding the issue, the IOF claimed that these acts come as part of the mission of "rescuing captives and locating, and repatriating the bodies of individuals held in Gaza."
