Jenin battle great victory, sets new stage of struggle: PIJ chief
The PIJ chief holds phone calls with the families of the Palestinians who were martyred during the Fury of Jenin Battle.
The Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) movement, Ziad Al-Nakhalah, affirmed that what happened in the Jenin camp was a great victory led by the Jenin Brigade along with all Resistance forces in the face of the Israeli aggression, achieving steadfastness and great field valor.
This came during a series of phone calls made by Al-Nakhalah with the families of the Palestinians who were martyred during the Fury of Jenin Battle that the Palestinian Resistance launched in response to the Israeli aggression against the city and camp of Jenin in the occupied West Bank.
Al-Nakhala affirmed the PIJ's "pride in every drop of blood that was spilled for the sake of this heroic model, in which our struggling people and the resistance stood with courage and vigor, in confirmation of the solid will of the Palestinians in confronting the terrorist Zionist project."
The PIJ chief stressed that this victory is an extension of all the heroic battles led by the Al-Quds Brigades and the Resistance, adding that what happened established a new phase entitled that the upper hand is for the Palestinian people and their solid resistance.
The Palestinian leader also expressed his pride in the popular support that backed the resistance heroes during the Fury of Jenin Battle, stressing commitment to the resistance in every inch of Palestine.
Al-Nakhalah had previously said that the Palestinian people achieved a victory by ending the occupation's aggression against Jenin and its camp.
He pointed out that the Jenin Briage led this victory, underlining that "the Palestinian people, with their unity and rallying around the resistance fighters, proved that they can defeat the enemy."
"The Palestinian people have proven that they can conquer the Israeli occupation in every battle against it, from the battle of Seif Al-Quds to the Fury of Jenin," the PIJ Secretary-General indicated.
Elsewhere, Al-Nakhalah called for national solidarity to strengthen the steadfastness of the Jenin camp so that it "remains an inspiring model for revolution, defiance, struggle, and resistance."
This comes a few days after Israeli occupation forces withdrew from the city of Jenin and its camp after launching an aggression that left 12 Palestinian martyrs and dozens of injuries.
The Israeli aggression was heroically confronted by Palestinian Resistance fighters who carried out a number of deadly strikes and ambushes for occupation forces as part of a battle dubbed The Fury of Jenin.
