Yesterday morning, Monday, a Palestinian journalist and a young man were killed and several others injured when Israeli aircraft targeted a tent for journalists near the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, southern Gaza.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that journalist Hilmi al-Faqawi and another young man, Yousef al-Khazindar, were martyred, while other journalists, including Ahmed Mansour, Hassan Islayh, Ahmed al-Agha, Mohammed Fayek, Abdullah al-Attar, Ihab al-Bardini, Mahmoud Awad, and Majed Qudaih, sustained injuries in the bombing of the tent.
The Palestinian Media Union condemned the Israeli occupation's bombing of a journalists' tent in Khan Younis, mourning the death of journalist Hilmi al-Faqawi, a correspondent for Palestine Today.

The killing of journalist Ahmad Mansour has sparked widespread Arab and international condemnation. The International Committee to Support the Rights of the Palestinian People denounced the attack, calling it a war crime aimed at silencing the press and obstructing the documentation of Israeli atrocities in Gaza.
Social media activists also voiced outrage, highlighting the Israeli occupation’s ongoing, systematic violations of human rights—especially against journalists, who are entitled to protection under international humanitarian law.
On March 24, Israeli occupation forces targeted Palestinian journalists Mohammed Mansour and Hussam Shabat in two separate airstrikes while they were fulfilling their professional duties in the Gaza Strip.
According to the Government Media Office in Gaza, the number of journalists killed since October 7 has now surpassed 210.
Despite international outrage, the Israeli occupation continues its assault on Gaza. The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that between March 18 and April 7, 2025, Israeli attacks claimed the lives of 1,391 Palestinians and injured 3,434 others. Since October 7, 2023, the total death toll has risen to 50,752 martyrs, with 115,475 injured.
