Kanaani condemns Israeli attacks on hospitals, aid workers
The Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson criticizes the silence of Western advocates of human rights over "Israel's"attacks on hospitals and aid workers.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani condemned the Israeli entity's direct attacks on aid workers and hospitals in the Gaza Strip, describing such actions as a blatant assault on the "supporters of humanity.'
“The medical staff are working to preserve human dignity and protect humanitarian rights, and it is clear that a direct attack on them is one of the most obvious examples of a war crime that is recognized according to the provisions of the International Criminal Court’s statute and the four Geneva Conventions,” Kanaani wrote in an article published by Iran Newspaper on Saturday.
Kanaani expressed deep regret over the silence of self-proclaimed human rights advocates in the face of the Israeli entity's blatant calls for ethnic cleansing and forced displacement in Gaza.

“The one-ton bomb that landed on Al-Ahli Arab Hospital actually shook the foundations of the United Nations Charter and unmasked the true face of the self-proclaimed human rights advocates,” he stated.
Kanaani added that gross human rights violations persist in the Gaza Strip while international organizations lack the authority to pressure a halt.
“The United Nations Security Council, as one of the main executive pillars of this organization which is responsible for maintaining international peace and security, has been practically disabled by the veto of the United States."
Attacks on hospitals underscore "Israel's" criminal nature to the world
Additionally, in a post on X, Kanaani addressed the attacks on hospitals, saying that these actions violate all standards of human rights, international law, and the Geneva Conventions, exposing the criminal nature of the Israeli entity.
He specifically condemned the attacks on Jordanian and Indonesian hospitals in Gaza as further manifestations of "Israel's" aggression and brutality.

'Israel' lies about Al-Shifa Hospital being Hamas HQ to justify raiding it
Several days passed since invading Israeli forces stormed Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, bombing, killing, terrorizing, and reducing departmental wards to rubble. They were actively searching for "evidence" that the hospital was a significant command center for the Hamas.
Later on, Israeli occupation forces converted Al-Shifa Hospital into a military barracks, handcuffing a large number of its attending doctors and indiscriminately opening fire throughout the health facility as they stormed patient wards without constraints.
Prior to the Israeli raid on Al-Shifa, the World Health Organization had declared the hospital non-functional. Officials detailed dire conditions, including a shortage of food, medicine, and anesthetics, leading to the shutdown of generators and lifesaving equipment due to a lack of fuel.
Palestinian Health Minister Mai al-Kaila disclosed on Friday that as many as 40 Palestinian patients, including three premature babies, have died in Al-Shifa Hospital Complex in the Gaza Strip. The deaths were attributed to the power cut-off from fuel depletion, resulting from the Israeli invading forces' siege on the Complex and constant targeting of the hospital.
False claim: There is "a Hamas military facility under al-Shifa Hospital."
Factchecked: The Israeli claim is false as has been reported by several media outlets, including The Washington Post, and human rights organizations, such as Human Rights Watch.
In the most recent intake on the matter, three journalists from the New York Times who were escorted by the Israeli invading forces, on Thursday night, through "only a portion of the sprawling Al-Shifa complex," debunked the Israeli claim of a Hamas military facility under the hospital.
The journalists reported that the visit did not conclusively confirm the presence of such a facility.
