Kuwait appoints new ambassador to Tehran after 6 years
Ambassador Bader Abdullah Al-Munaikh presented his credentials to Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in Tehran on Saturday, according to Iran's foreign ministry's website. Munaikh's appointment as envoy to Iran was announced by Kuwait's foreign ministry.
Kuwait has nominated an ambassador to Iran, the two countries said on Sunday, more than six years after recalling its senior envoy to Tehran in solidarity with Saudi Arabia when the country cut ties with it in 2016.

In an interview with the Al-Rai newspaper, the Iranian ambassador to Kuwait, Mohammad Irani, welcomed the return of Kuwait's ambassador and said that choosing Badr Abdullah Al-Munaikh as Kuwait's ambassador to Tehran is natural to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, especially in the political field.

In the same context, the Iranian ambassador to Kuwait, Mohammad Irani, announced a close visit of the Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, to Kuwait.
Irani said that Amir-Abdollahian will hold talks during the visit with Kuwaiti officials on bilateral relations and regional developments.
Last month, Amir-Abdollahian announced that the UAE and Kuwait intend to send their ambassadors to Tehran in the near future.
Importance of developing relations
The Iranian Foreign Ministry had indicated that, on July 26, Amir-Abdollahian called his Kuwaiti counterpart, Ahmed Nasser Al-Sabah, and said that, along with other neighboring countries, Kuwait is confident regarding strengthening regional relations.
He welcomed the formation of specialized committees between the two countries and emphasized that this step reflects the course of positive cooperation between the countries.
Amir-Abdollahian revealed he was pleased with how the Jeddah Summit avoided any "anti-Iran" rhetoric and limited the efforts made by some. He added that Israeli crimes are not to be ignored, and the Palestinian cause will remain a priority.

UAE plans to return its diplomatic representation to Iran
In turn, UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah Bin Zayed stressed, in a call with Amir-Abdollahian on July 26, the importance of increasing diplomatic representation between the two countries to develop bilateral relations between the neighboring countries.
Bin Zayed explained that there were no doubts about restoring the warmth of relations between the two countries and opening new horizons for ties, especially when facing regional challenges.
He added that there is peace, stability, pride, and goodness for Iran as a neighboring and brotherly country, explaining that it has a positive impact on the UAE as well, with hopes to strengthen ties with Iran.
