During the memorial, an announcement was made about collaboration between the Lebanese University and Al Mayadeen to organize training courses for media students.
Last Tuesday, a gathering was held at the university, featuring a candlelight tribute in honor of of the martyrs Farah Omar, Rabih Me'mari, and Hussein Aqeel.
The Faculty of Law and Political, Administrative, and Financial Sciences at the Lebanese University had previously extended condolences to Al Mayadeen and the entire journalistic community during a solidarity event organized on November 27.
In a statement, Jihad Bannout, the director of the Faculty of Law, affirmed that "Farah spent one year at the university and left her mark," noting that "her colleagues take pride in her, and she has become a lesson in citizenship, sacrifice, and national spirit among her fellow students."
It is worth mentioning that Ghassan Ben Jeddou, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Mayadeen, announced that Al Mayadeen will offer an annual media scholarship in the name of the martyr Farah Omar, and another in the name of the martyr Rabih Me'mari in the fields of cinematography and directing, either in an Arab university or in universities in the Global South.

Farah's spirit will continue to sow strength
Farah Omar was martyred alongside her fellow martyr Rabih Me'mari and Hussein Aqeel in an Israeli airstrike at around 11:00 AM on November 21, as they were reporting on the ground along the Lebanese-Palestinian border.
Al Mayadeen host Wafa Saraya vowed in Farah's eulogy that the channel will remain "steadfast, rooted, enduring, and persevering," noting that the spirit of Farah will continue to sow hope and strength.
