Martyr Zahedi coordinated to deliver weapons to Gaza: PFLP official
The head of Arab and national relations in the PFLP says martyr Zahedi was keen on developing capabilities in Gaza and the West Bank.
Abu Ahmad Fouad, the head of Arab and national relations in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), indicated Monday evening that the Israeli aggression on the Iranian consulate in the Syrian capital Damascus would not have taken place without being greenlighted by the United States.
Speaking to Al Mayadeen, he stated that the Israeli assassination of the commander of the Quds Force in Lebanon and Syria, General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, and his companions "is a loss for the Axis of Resistance and the Palestinian people."
Fouad revealed that martyr Zahedi was keen on developing capabilities in Gaza and the West Bank, as an important factor in undermining "Israel's" security.
The PFLP official mentioned that martyr Zahedi focused on "mobilizing all resources toward resistance," noting that he was "coordinating with relevant parties to deliver weapons to Gaza."
Touching on negotiations over a prisoner exchange deal with the Israeli occupation, Fouad told Al Mayadeen that Palestinian Resistance factions "will not compromise at all" on the four points it specified, especially the cessation of war and the return of the displaced.
He stressed that the Resistance is "showing firmness in the negotiations and is increasingly adhering to its demands."
Elsewhere, the Palestinian official underlined that it is "impossible" for the Resistance, after all the steadfastness and sacrifice it has shown, to accept the Israeli occupation of Gaza.
