Palestinian factions condemn Israeli attack on Iran's consulate
Palestinian Resistance groups consider that the Israeli assassination of top IRGC commanders in Syria will not affect Iran's firm position from the Palestinian Resistance.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement (PIJ) condemned in a statement the Israeli aggression on the Iranian Consulate building in Damascus, which resulted in the martyrdom of the commander of the IRGC's Quds Force in Lebanon and Syria, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, along with several other senior members.
The Islamic Jihad considered the "cowardly Zionist attack on the Iranian Consulate as an attempt by the Israeli enemy to expand aggression and divert attention from their failure in Gaza."

On its part, the Palestinian Islamic Movement - Hamas also condemned the blatant Israeli escalation, affirming that this aggression is a flagrant violation of international law and an attack on the sovereignty of Syria and Iran.
"We express our full solidarity with Iran and Syria in the face of this heinous Nazi aggression" and "call on the United Nations Security Council to take effective action to deter the occupation and its criminal leaders and to stop their aggression against Gaza and the region," which is "undermining international stability and security."
Hamas also extended "deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs and the esteemed Iranian leadership and people."
Similarly, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) denounced the attack "in the strongest terms," considering the Israeli crime a "major escalation" and labeling it as "state terrorism".
The PFLP extended its deepest condolences to the Islamic Republic, affirming that "this heinous crime has not and will not deter Iran from supporting the Palestinian Resistance and backing just causes in the region."

Furthermore, the Resistance group pointed out that the occupation entity acts "as a state of rogue gangs trampling on all international conventions and treaties," emphasizing that the entity is determined to incite regional tensions, "while fully aware that it will pay a high price for these crimes, plunging its [settlers] into a bloodbath and disasters they cannot bear and dragging the region into a major escalation and explosion."
The PFLP concluded by stating that "the failed policy of assassinations" has always been an incentive for "escalating painful strikes against the Zionist entity."
On his part, Abdul Majid Shadid, a member of the Revolutionary Council of the Fatah al-Intifada movement in the occupied West Bank, condemned the Israeli aggression on the Iranian consulate, expressing confidence that it will not change Iran's firm position toward the Palestinian cause.
He affirmed that "the cowardly assassination operation will not affect the role of Tehran and the Axis of Resistance nations," emphasizing that "they will continue to support the Palestinian people and their Resistance until the liberation of Palestine from the clutches of the Zionist enemy."
Shadid stated that the Israeli crime confirms the "unity of the Axis of Resistance front against the Zionist-American aggression agenda" and that the attack "will not undermine the determination of the Resistance groups and movements."
