Palestinian Resistance fighters engaged in intense confrontations with Israeli occupation forces early Friday as the latter stormed the Old City of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank, targeting the forces with heavy gunfire.

The al-Quds Brigades – Nablus Brigade announced that its fighters confronted invading Israeli occupation forces on multiple fronts in the Old City, firing intensively at the advancing infantry units.

Israeli military vehicles entered the city from several directions at dawn, with troops raiding neighborhoods such as Haret al-Gharb, al-Nasr Street, Souq al-Basal, and Bab al-Saha. Snipers occupied the rooftops of some houses, while explosions, live ammunition, and stun grenades were heard during the incursion.

Local sources indicated that an Israeli force was targeted with an explosive device amid its operation in the Old City.

Simultaneously, Israeli forces stormed the town of Aqraba, south of Nablus, as well as the al-Jalazone refugee camp north of Ramallah and the town of Beitunia west of Ramallah.

These actions follow an earlier raid on Thursday in the al-Ein refugee camp, west of Nablus, where Resistance fighters, including the Nablus Brigade, confronted the Israeli forces, engaging them with heavy gunfire.
