Nasrallah met Hamas, PIJ officials to deter 'Israel': Israeli media
Israeli media says Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's meeting with Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad officials is aimed at deterring the Israeli occupation.
Israeli media reported Saturday that Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, met with officials from Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) to deter "Israel".
Sayyed Nasrallah received the Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad PIJ movement Ziyad al-Nakhalah and the Deputy Head of the Political Bureau of the Palestinian Hamas Movement Saleh al-Arouri, Hezbollah media revealed on Saturday.
During their meeting, Sayyed Nasrallah, al-Nakhala, and al-Arouri discussed the latest political developments, particularly in occupied Palestine.
The joint statement issued in the wake of the tripartite meeting reaffirmed the steadfast position of all the forces of the Axis of Resistance in confronting the Israeli occupation and its aggression.
According to the joint statement, the resistance leaders underlined the importance of coordinating and monitoring all political, security, and military developments in the region, as well as making the appropriate decisions.
During the meeting, there was a joint assessment of the situation in the West Bank, with an emphasis on the increasing resistance movement there. They also stressed the importance of daily and ongoing coordination and communication between the resistance movements, especially in occupied Palestine and Lebanon.
This come as Israeli media reports acknowledged that the IOF is facing significant challenges in dealing with the complex dynamics involving Lebanon, the occupied West Bank, and Gaza, in which al-Arouri is a leading figure.
Amid increased Israeli threats to assassinate the top Hamas official, Hezbollah, and Hamas, alongside other Resistance factions, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah warned against the consequences of such a move. He warned "Tel Aviv" in a speech a few days ago that any assassination that targets a Lebanese, Palestinian, or Iranian personnel, among others, on Lebanese soil will not be tolerated, vowing that it will be met with full force.
Earlier this week, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, after a closed meeting in Beirut with the leaders of the Hamas and PIJ movements, confirmed Tehran’s adherence to the strategy of supporting the Palestinian people, their Resistance, and their rightful cause and legitimate right to liberate their country.
Amir-Abdollahian reminded the PIJ and Hamas leaders of the announcement of Sayyed Ali Khamenei regarding the extreme importance of supporting the West Bank and assured them that "the Islamic Republic [of Iran] will not back down from its support for Palestine and will continue to strongly support the Resistance strongly."
On their part, the Palestinian leaders, in their meeting with the Iranian Foreign Minister, reaffirmed their commitment to Resistance as a "strategic option for the Palestinian people," stressing "not to back down from Resistance operations in the West Bank as a priority at this stage."

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah also received Iran's top diplomat during the latter's official trip to Lebanon this week. Accompanying Amir-Abdollahian were Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Mojataba Amani and Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani.
Reportedly, the two sides conferred on the latest political developments in the region and Lebanon.
Resistance in the occupied West Bank has been on a constant rise in recent years while Israelis stand impotently unable to put a hold on the determination of Palestinian fighters. Aiming to undermine the achievements in the West Bank, the occupation entity accused Iran of being the main power behind the Resistance operations.
"In light of the rising [Palestinian] resistance in the West Bank, the Israeli enemy rushed to attribute it to Iran and depict the events as an Iranian plot, suggesting that the Palestinians there are mere instruments," Sayyed Nasrallah stressed during his speech.
"[With this approach], they [the Israelis] are trying to trick the whole world and the region," he added.
