The Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs announced that the Israeli occupation Prisons Authority sent massive reinforcements from the suppression units, in fear of a revolt by prisoners after Friday prayers.

The Prisoners’ Information Office confirmed that Palestinian prisoners in all occupation prisons refused to enter their rooms after the Friday prayers in protest of the Prisons Authority's punitive measures.

The Information Office noted that the Prisons Authority threatens to repress prisoners in the wake of their refusal to enter their rooms, as a state of tension prevails in the occupation prisons.

In the same context, the Palestinian Prisoners Club reported severe tension prevailing in the "Megiddo" prison, with the presence of large forces from the prison suppression units.

Israeli media had pointed out that the Prisons' Authority has decided to adopt a new policy regarding the imprisonment of security prisoners, following Operation Freedom Tunnel from the Gilboa prison several months ago.

According to the media, the occupation forces have decided to prevent prisoners -- suspected to carry out escape operations -- from staying in the same cell, in addition to transferring such prisoners from one cell to another every four months instead of once in half a year.

In the same context, the administrative prisoners in the Israeli occupation prisons continue their boycott against occupation courts for the 42nd consecutive day to demand an end to the policy of administrative detention.

Early last month, the administrative prisoners took a collective stand, declaring a comprehensive and final boycott of all judicial procedures related to administrative detention.

The Palestinian Captive Movement in the occupation prisons announced its full support for the administrative prisoners' decision to comprehensively boycott the military courts, explaining that its regulatory bodies will follow up on the decision.

It is noteworthy that the occupation authorities usually take punitive measures against prisoners who are boycotting their courts, such as depriving them of visits and renewing their administrative detention.
