Open sit-in by Iraqi crowds at the Jordanian border in support of Gaza
Tens of thousands of Iraqis are going out in demonstrations in Baghdad and a number of governorates, while the Iraqi-Jordanian border is witnessing huge demonstrations in their open sit-in.
Thousands of Iraqis held demonstrations in Baghdad this Friday afternoon and several governorates to denounce the Israeli occupation's aggression that started against the Palestinian people in Gaza two weeks ago.
The demonstrators gathered at one of the gates near the bridge that leads to the government Green Zone, chanting slogans demanding the condemnation of the Israeli aggression against Gaza and the bombing of hospitals, places of worship, and civilian homes.

The demonstrators carried the flags of Iraq, Palestine, and the Popular Mobilization Forces, and chanted slogans denouncing the daily Israeli aggression in Gaza and the normalization campaigns with "Israel."
At the same time, the Iraqi-Jordanian border is still witnessing huge demonstrations, after large crowds of Iraqis flocked to the border, in solidarity with Palestine and to denounce the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that the sit-in on the Iraqi-Jordanian border is an "open sit-in."

This comes after the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, sent a call yesterday to his supporters to hold a peaceful sit-in at the Palestinian border, in protest against what is happening in the Gaza Strip and support the Palestinian people.
In a televised speech, al-Sadr called all peace lovers to be at a peaceful popular gathering from all those countries, to go for a peaceful sit-in on the borders with Palestine occupied by Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan, and to carry shrouds and not arms.
Al-Sadr demanded to "Stay until the blockade is lifted and aid is delivered to people in Gaza."
Iraqi Resistance targets US forces in Ain Al-Assad for the second time
On Thursday, the Iraqi Islamic Resistance claimed responsibility for targeting US forces at the Ain al-Assad base with missiles.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that drones targeted the Ain al-Assad base with missiles in western Iraq.
This targeting comes one day after sources in the Iraqi Islamic Resistance confirmed to Al Mayadeen that the Resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility for several operations targeting US forces located on Iraqi soil, threatening them with more.
The sources said that the Iraqi Islamic Resistance conducted "operations targeting US forces in Ain al-Assad and Harir in Iraqi Kurdistan."
In the same context, the Reuters news agency reported that the "US military thwarted an attack targeting its forces in Iraq early on Wednesday, intercepting two drones before they could strike," explaining that this indicates that the Iraqi Resistance factions have begun implementing their threats to target US interests in the country. This is against the backdrop of the United States' support for the Israeli occupation entity in its war on the Gaza Strip."
The agency explained, citing two US officials who informed about the attack, and who declined to specify the Iraqi party that the US suspected of carrying it out, that the attack was the first of its kind on US forces in Iraq in more than a year.
