Mohammed al-Farrah, a senior member of Ansar Allah’s political bureau, confirmed Thursday that Yemen’s latest "military surprise" targeted the port of Haifa, a strategic economic hub in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Speaking to Al Mayadeen, al-Farrah warned that “more surprises are coming,” and said the Yemeni Armed Forces were now working to bring Haifa and Ben Gurion Airport to a halt, just as they did with Eilat port, which has remained largely non-operational.
Al-Farrah emphasized that the Yemeni resistance carefully calculates the “security and political impact” of its missile launches on “Israel,” stressing that “there are concrete results from our operations in terms of military exhaustion and widespread fear among settlers.”
He said that Yemen’s missile campaigns have severely damaged the Israeli economy, particularly in the tourism and investment sectors. “No one is thinking about investing or vacationing in Israel anymore after our operations,” he added.
Yemeni strikes dealing blows to 'Israel'
Referring to the port of Eilat, al-Farrah noted that Yemeni strikes have led to soaring transport and insurance costs in the Red Sea, in addition to widespread layoffs. He accused several Arab regimes of reinforcing the Israeli occupation's position at the expense of the Palestinian people. “Many Arab governments are enshrining weakness to benefit Israel,” he said. “Some are stabbing the Palestinians in the back.”
Al-Farrah also addressed reports of a potential truce with the United States, stating that “the agreement did not originate from Ansar Allah, but from the American side, which requested negotiations for a ceasefire.” He confirmed that US forces “suffered heavy losses in their aggression against Yemen, including the downing of seven drones and two warplanes, without achieving any of their objectives.”
Regarding the Red Sea, al-Farrah reiterated that the waters remain open to all ships except those affiliated with “Israel” or involved in aggression against Yemen. On internal developments, he issued a warning to local collaborators and mercenaries: “Our priority remains confronting Israel, but we caution anyone seeking to escalate inside Yemen.”
Yemeni operations exerting pressure on 'Israel'
Ansar Allah leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi confirmed that the Yemeni support front carried out a series of attacks this past week using “eight ballistic and hypersonic missiles.” Among these operations, he noted, “three missiles were launched toward al-Lydd Airport,” known as Ben Gurion Airport, which triggered widespread alarms across occupied Palestine.
Describing the impact of the strikes, Sayyed al-Houthi emphasized that “this week’s operations were significant and caused air raid sirens to sound across most occupied cities and towns.” He claimed the pressure had a tangible effect on Israeli infrastructure, highlighting that “many airlines have extended the suspension of flights to occupied Palestine, which is an important consequence of the Yemeni operations.”
He also mocked the growing sense of panic among the occupation’s population and institutions. “Millions fled to shelters, and the statements by Zionist officials and their media reveal the extent of Israeli frustration and despair regarding the Yemeni support front,” he said. He stressed that the occupation has proven unable to counter Yemen’s influence, stating that “Zionist statements demonstrate how impactful the Yemeni operations are, and how powerless the enemy is to deter or influence Yemen’s position.”
To illustrate the scale of fear, Sayyed al-Houthi recounted an incident involving a US lawmaker who took shelter in an unusual location. “A member of the American House of Representatives fled into a poultry refrigerator in a market in occupied Palestine as sirens sounded,” he said, using the example to underline what he described as widespread panic caused by the missile strikes.
