Over 100 martyrs in 24 hours; Gaza's North plunged in siege, famine
For the 58th consecutive day, northern Gaza remains under an ongoing Israeli siege, with air and artillery bombardments isolating the region from the rest of Gaza.
Israeli airstrikes and artillery bombardments continued relentlessly across the Gaza Strip over the past hours, targeting homes and displaced people's shelters, leaving dozens of martyrs and scores of injured. The death toll from these attacks has now risen to at least 100 martyrs in the past 24 hours.
Nineteen people were reportedly killed in Israeli airstrikes that primarily targeted Khan Younis in southern Gaza. Among the fatalities were two children killed when an Israeli helicopter targeted a tent housing forcibly displaced families in the southwest al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis.
In addition to these strikes, Israeli forces targeted the area east of al-Amour neighborhood in the town of al-Fukhari in Khan Younis.
58th day of siege and starvation
For the 58th consecutive day, northern Gaza remains under an ongoing Israeli siege, with air and artillery bombardments isolating the region from the rest of Gaza.
Israeli airstrikes targeted the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, with the Israeli military reportedly demolishing residential buildings in the western part of the camp. Helicopter gunfire and smoke bombs were also fired in the direction of the eastern part of the camp.
The siege has paralyzed civil defense operations in the region, leaving thousands of residents without access to humanitarian aid or medical assistance. For the 40th consecutive day, civil defense teams have been unable to carry out their work due to the relentless Israeli bombardments.
In the central Gaza Strip, Israeli shelling hit a home in the al-Mufti area of the Nuseirat refugee camp. A martyr was reported following this attack early Sunday morning.
On Saturday, Gaza’s Civil Defense reported that over 40 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a house that was sheltering more than 100 displaced people in the Tal Zaatar area in northern Gaza.
415,000+ displaced Palestinians sheltering in UN schools: UNRWA
The UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) said on Sunday that more than 415,000 displaced individuals in Gaza are currently taking refuge in its school buildings, Anadolu reported.
Moreover, the UNRWA chief announced "pausing delivery of aid through Kerem Shalom, main crossing point for humanitarian aid into Gaza," citing unsafe roads for months now.
In a statement shared on social media, UNRWA posted the testimony of Aisha, one of the many women of Gaza taking shelter in a school.

Expressing her exhaustion, Aisha said, “This place is meant for education, not for living.”
“We suffer immensely under the health conditions we are experiencing, the economic conditions, the struggle to secure food and drink — there is no support, no assistance,” she added.
“Hundreds of thousands more are trying to survive in even worse conditions in makeshift shelters,” the UN agency said.
Hamas calls for probe into banned weapons in northern Gaza
The Palestinian Resistance movement Hamas called, on Saturday, for the formation of an international commission to investigate the use of internationally banned weapons by the Israeli occupation forces in northern Gaza, which led to the vaporization of bodies.
The movement based its call on the horrific testimonies of citizens and doctors in northern Gaza after airstrikes and massacres targeting innocent civilians, confirming cases of targeting with weapons and ammunition that cause bodies to vaporize.
Hamas urged the international community and the United Nations to form a specialized international investigation committee to enter northern Gaza, uncover the nature of the munitions used by the Israeli occupation army, and investigate these unknown injuries and conditions. These have so far led to the martyrdom of nearly 3,000 Palestinians and the injury of more than 10,000, mostly children and women.

It also called for the swift prosecution of Israeli war criminals for their crimes against humanity.
The Gaza Health Ministry announced on Saturday that the number of Palestinians killed since the start of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has risen to 44,382 martyrs, with 105,142 injured.
