PA suspends communication with 'Israel' over aggression on Jenin
The Palestinian Authority underlines that the Israeli occupation's aggression on Jenin led to the cessation of communications with "Tel Aviv".
The Palestinian Authority has decided to suspend communications and meetings with "Israel" following its aggression on Jenin, as it builds up on its decision to suspend security coordination with the occupation forces.
The statement that followed a meeting of the Palestinian Authority stated that "the understandings of Aqaba and Sharm El-Sheikh with the occupation" are no longer relevant and that it has decided to limit its ties with the US administration, adding that it file cases against the United States and the UK for their involvement in the creation of the Belfour Declaration.
The PA added that all Palestinian agencies and bodies should assume their role in defending the Palestinian people from Israeli aggression on the West Bank.
It also revealed that it has decided to contact the UN Security Council to request the implementation of Resolution 2334 and the international protection resolution for the Palestinian people, halt unilateral measures in the West Bank, impose sanctions on the occupation, and call on the International Criminal Court to expedite the resolution of the cases referred to it.
On his part, Fatah movement spokesperson Hussein Hamayel told Al Mayadeen that "Fatah is a fundamental partner in the resistance of the occupation, and Israel does not differentiate between factions."
Hamayel challenged any settler to enter any Palestinian city or village, stating, "We are fully prepared to resist the occupation and sacrifice for Palestine."
Earlier today, the Jenin Brigade issued a concise statement announcing the Fury of Jenin Battle to respond to the aggression and the incursion of the occupation forces into the city of Jenin and its camp.
Al-Quds Brigades issued a statement underlining that fighting would go on and reassuring the Palestinian people and the resistance's supporters that they are "in the best condition, and the morale of the fighters is at its peak, and their hands will remain high on the field," emphasizing that "what the enemy saw is only a small fraction of what our fighters have prepared, and much more is yet to come."
This morning, the Joint Operation Room of Palestinian Resistance factions confirmed that the continuation of the aggression on Jenin and the occupation's actions will "determine the nature of the Resistance's response," and that "the heroes of Jenin are determined to humiliate the enemy and break its arrogance."
The occupation had launched a large-scale aggression on the city of Jenin and its camp in the early hours of Monday, aiming to "frustrate the armed infrastructure and arrest its elements in Jenin."
The number of martyrs has risen to nine so far, all of whom were killed by Israeli occupation gunfire in the past few hours, including one martyr in Al-Bireh and eight others in Jenin. Additionally, 50 people were wounded, 10 of whom are in critical condition, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, raising the number of martyrs since the beginning of the year to 189.
An informed source told Reuters hours after the operation started that the Israeli occupation forces need an additional 24 hours to complete the operation they started in the occupied West Bank.
The Israeli occupation forces have repeatedly declined to disclose the amount of time the operation will take, only revealing that it would take longer than one day and that the IOF would stay on the ground for as long as necessary.
In the early hours of Monday, the Israeli occupation army announced the launching of a large-scale military operation targeting the city of Jenin and its refugee camp, north of the occupied West Bank.
According to a number of Israeli media outlets, the decision was made to begin the aggression on the city of Jenin and its refugee camp following the Palestinian Resistance's use of explosives during the last IOF aggression on the city, on June 19.
The occupation's Walla! news website noted that in the past months, "the Israeli security and military establishment's focus on Jenin increased," as its presence around it was recently reinforced with additional brigades.
