Palestinian prisoner Awawdeh still at Ramle prison, not civil hospital
The Israeli occupation court holds an unexpected session for administrative detainee Khalil Awawdeh, who has been on a hunger strike for more than 150 days in "Ofer" Prison.
The Israeli occupation court held an unexpected session for administrative detainee Khalil Awawdeh, who has been on hunger strike for 151 days in "Ofer" Prison, due to his deteriorating health condition.
The Palestinian Prisoners Club reported that the decision, which came two hours after the emergency session, was to allow his lawyer and the doctor to visit, and accordingly the court will issue a decision regarding the appeal submitted against the decision to confirm his administrative detention order.
That said, a court session was held yesterday for him, and a decision was made to have a specialized doctor conduct a cognitive examination for Awawdeh, but no decision about the appeal has been reached yet.
Awawdeh is still in Ramle prison clinic and has not been transferred to a civilian hospital, according to his wife, Dalal Awawdeh, citing the PPC.

Awawdeh continues his open hunger strike against the administrative detention, and the occupation has refused to respond to his demands.
This comes as Palestinian and Egyptian sources confirmed that an Egyptian security delegation is following up with "Tel Aviv" on Awawdeh's case.
The Egyptian delegation is following up on the implementation of the ceasefire agreement between "Israel" and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, especially with regard to transferring the prisoner to a general civilian hospital for treatment.
Awawdeh was on strike for 111 days, which he suspended for only a week, and then resumed it after the prison administration refused to find a solution for his case and renewed his administrative detention for a period of 4 months, which is his second renewal.
Dozens of prisoners announced that they had initiated an open-ended hunger strike in solidarity with Awawdeh. The Palestinian Prisoners Club confirmed in a statement that the prisoner, Awawdeh, is facing death, in light of difficult health conditions that are deteriorating.
