The Ministry of Health announced that Tareq al-Shakhsheir, 21, was martyred after suffering critical injuries during confrontations that broke out in the wake of an Israeli raid on several of Nablus' neighborhoods on December 18.
The 21-year-old's martyrdom raises the number of Palestinian martyrs in the occupied West Bank to 314 since the start of the aggression on Gaza, and to 522 overall since the start of 2023.

IOF storm Ramallah
Local media reported 12 injuries and the martyrdom of Palestinian youth Hazem al-Qattawi, from the town of Beitunia, after he was shot by the Israeli occupation forces during confrontations that took place in Ramallah.
The sources confirmed that large forces of the Israeli occupation army stormed the cities of Ramallah and al-Bireh in the central West Bank, spreading across several neighborhoods. The occupation forces also raided the al-Manara Square area in central Ramallah, where Resistance fighters confronted them and engaged in armed confrontations.
Local Palestinian media circulated news and a video clip confirming the injury of an Israeli soldier during armed confrontations with Resistance fighters in the city of Ramallah.
Al Mayadeen's sources mentioned that a Palestinian youth was injured by Israeli occupation gunfire during the Israeli incursion into Ramallah, in addition to the injury of journalist Salman al-Khatib. The sources also confirmed that Israeli forces raided the al-Tireh neighborhood in the city.
Arrests rampage
As the Israeli occupation forces have been killing Palestinians left and right in both Gaza and the occupied West Bank, the latter has also been witnessing an onslaught in terms of arbitrary arrests that see dozens of people taken away daily.
The Commission for Detainees' Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners' Society reported on Wednesday that the Israeli occupation forces arrested at least 55 Palestinians from the West Bank, including three women and two journalists from the West Bank, between Monday evening and Tuesday morning.
In more detail, the report explained that the IOF reportedly committed violations against people in the form of severe beatings and threats against detainees and their families, in parallel to the widespread sabotage and destruction of people’s homes, and the taking of Palestinian residents as human shields and hostages.
The occupation has been carrying out raids and incursions in the West Bank and occupied al-Quds, involving arrests that target dozens of Palestinians. It is also pursuing prisoners that had been released in the exchange deal negotiated by the Palestinian Resistance with the occupation forces during the temporary truce weeks ago in Gaza.
