The Prisoners Information Office stated that "the prisoners of the Islamic Jihad movement have ended their escalatory steps after reaching an agreement with the occupation prisons administration."
This comes after 400 prisoners of the Islamic Jihad had announced escalatory measures against the procedures of the occupation prisons for the 12th day in a row.
The leadership body of Islamic Jihad prisoners confirmed in a statement that "the occupation has acquiesced to the demand to release the movement's new prisoners from the waiting cells to prison sections."
In turn, the Prisoners' Club confirmed that the prisoners of Islamic Jihad in the occupation prisons decided to suspend their escalatory resistant steps, after reaching an agreement with the prison administration and with the support of the Supreme Emergency Committee of the Captive Movement, to end the repressive measures imposed by the prison administration against them a year ago.
The Prisoner Club clarified that the agreement stipulates the provision of a third room for the prisoners of the Islamic Jihad in all prisons, which allows the gathering of the Jihad prisoners again as before. This step will be implemented according to a timetable and with the follow-up of the Supreme Emergency Committee of the Captive Movement formed by all factions, including the Islamic Jihad.
It was also agreed to end the isolation of two prisoners Abdullah Al-Arida and Abdul Obeida and to prepare a list of all prisoners who were subjected to repression and were transferred a year ago, to be returned to the prisons in which they were held.
The agreement also included easing the restrictive measures against the prisoners of the Freedom Tunnel, in addition to stopping the long detention operations at the crossings for the arrested prisoners of the Islamic Jihad, so that they would be transferred to the rooms after the process of being transferred to the prisons.
