Israeli media reported on Saturday that the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) movement still maintains the ability to launch rockets, explaining that this is evident in the rocket salvoes launched toward different areas in the Israeli occupation

The Israeli Channel 12 said after the massive rocket firing toward "HaShfela" (the western Al-Naqab), which is a relatively long-range bombardment, the PIJ maintains the ability to launch rockets every time toward a different area through salvoes consisting of between five and 10 rockets.

The Israeli channel suggested that this is an attempt from the PIJ to show its longevity, pointing out that as long as the Movement's leadership outside Palestine is leading the battle, it will be difficult to reach a ceasefire.

In the same context, Israeli media highlighted that the PIJ succeeded in launching 1,200 rockets, forcing 2 million Israeli settlers into shelters and "disrupting their lives."

On Friday, the Israeli Channel 13 reported that there is a fear of an expansion and spread of the ongoing confrontation and Hamas joining it, which might expand the frequency and range of rockets and turn the limited confrontation into a battle.

On Saturday, Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad, threatened the Israeli occupation on Saturday that settlements and occupied territories will witness renewed shelling following the occupation's insistence on continuing its assassination policy against the Palestinian Resistance.

In a brief statement, the Brigades reaffirmed that "in the face of the continued assassinations and destruction of civilian homes, the Palestinian resistance will renew its rocket fire on Israeli settlements."

Moreover, the statement noted that as part of Operation Avenging the Free, "the Resistance has prepared itself for months of confrontation," adding, "We can endure for a long time and are blessed with a great, loyal popular base."

Earlier today, a senior official in the Resistance told Al Mayadeen that the Palestinian Resistance will continue responding to the Israeli occupation's assassination of top commanders and its ongoing aggression on Gaza.

"The campaign continues, our next attacks are on the way," he said.

For the fifth day in a row, the Israeli occupation continues its heinous aggression against Gaza, targeting residential houses in the north, center, and south of the Strip.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the number of Palestinians killed in the aggression rose to 33 martyrs, including six children and three women, and 147 people were wounded.
