PJS Head: We will stand with Al Mayadeen, its employees
Head of the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate, Omar Nazzal, affirms solidarity with Al Mayadeen Network and its employees in occupied Palestine after the Israeli war cabinet discussed closing the Al Mayadeen office.
Head of the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate (PJS), Omar Nazzal, confirmed to Al Mayadeen the syndicate's solidarity with Al Mayadeen Network and its employees in occupied Palestine after the Israeli war cabinet ratified the decision to shut down the Al Mayadeen bureau in occupied Palestine.
Nazzal vowed that the "voices of freedom" will not be silenced, highlighting the 300 crimes and violations committed against the journalistic body, adding that the occupation uses a clear strategy based on "a Nazi policy of adopting lies until they become truth."
He stressed that the occupation is adopting this policy to silence every voice that confronts the Israeli narrative and speaks the truth.
The PJS director stressed that the syndicate is working to expose the occupation's practices to international bodies, in addition to sending a message to the United Nations.
Earlier on Sunday, Israeli media reported that the Israeli war cabinet will discuss the cessation of the Al Mayadeen network in the occupied territories.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that the first leaks from the cabinet meeting were regarding the ban of the Al Mayadeen Network in occupied Palestine.
Our correspondent revealed that the leaks discussed possible raids on Al Mayadeen's offices, the appropriation of equipment, and the detainment of reporters for interrogation.
Meanwhile, the director of Al Mayadeen’s bureau in occupied Palestine, Nasser al-Laham, stressed that Al Mayadeen “will continue to broadcast what is happening, whatever the cabinet's decision is."
