A few days ago, the Popular Mobilization Directorate in Iraq announced the start of a raid and search operation in several areas in the city of Al-Tarmiyah, north of Baghdad.
Al Mayadeen’s reporter explained that the operation was launched to secure the countryside and the district’s areas from ISIS militants who may be stationed in areas far from the city centers, especially since the Tarmiyah district is the link between four governorates: Anbar, Diyala, Salah Al-Din and Baghdad.
