Putin calls for enhanced border force readiness
During his address at the Extended Session of the Federal Security Service (FSB) Board, the Russian President has revealed that Ukrainian saboteurs intended to carry out a terrorist incursion into the border regions.
Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized the importance of boosting the preparedness and equipment of Russian border forces, both on land and at sea, particularly focusing on the Black Sea region.
During his speech at the Extended Session of the Federal Security Service (FSB) Board, the Russian President said: "It is necessary to further enhance the combat capabilities of border forces and the effectiveness of mobile groups, not only on land but also in sea areas. Of course, this primarily concerns the Black Sea today."
"It is natural that the neo-Nazi Kiev regime — again with the support of the West, often on their direct instructions — switched to terrorist methods," he added.
Terrorist methods with support of West: Putin
In response to recent provocative remarks from Western intelligence service representatives, Putin likened them to acts of blackmail and efforts to intimidate Russian society.
"We see the results: all attempts to break into our territory by sabotage and terrorist groups consisting of regular enemy units, foreign mercenaries ... all these attempts failed," Putin stressed.
The President also mentioned that Ukrainian saboteurs had intended to carry out a terrorist incursion into border regions of the Russian Federation but incurred casualties.
This statement follows numerous congratulations from various world officials and leaders to Putin on his victory in the Russian presidential elections.
