Raisi: Iran will always support Syria
The two-day visit to Syria was a turning point in the expansion of economic, trade, political, and security relations between both nations.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stated that Iran, which has previously supported Syria, will continue to do so in the future, adding that his nation is resolved to help the Syrian people and the Axis of Resistance.
Yesterday, Raisi highlighted that his two-day visit to Syria was a turning point in the expansion of economic, trade, political, and security relations between the two countries.
During a press conference upon his arrival in Tehran after his visit, Raisi stressed that "this trip was a gesture of paying respect to the resistance of the Syrian people and government against the brutal attacks carried out by the enemies."

The Iranian president stated in an interview with SANA and Syria TV on Friday that Syria's attitude is correct, because Syria, despite threats and sanctions, resists the powers of global arrogance in order to establish justice and peace.
President Raisi further noted that the US occupied some sections of Syria in order to pillage its resources and to fulfill the aims that they were unable to achieve through terrorism, but the Syrian people's resistance would defeat their plans, and victory will be Syria's ally in the end.
Raisi emphasized that the solution to Syria's surrounding nations' worries is the return of all Syrian territories to state sovereignty, emphasizing that no Turkish military should be present on Syrian soil.
On Iranian-Syrian relations, Raisi divulged that “after the victory of the Islamic revolution in Iran, Syrian-Iranian relations witnessed a new form. The stances of the founding leader Hafez al-Assad were distinguished towards the Palestinian cause and the resistance front, since he has often declared his support for the resistance axis, his stances are fair and strong against the Zionist entity, and these positions continue during the era of President Bashar al-Assad,”.
Raisi went on to say that Syria is at the center of resistance countries, having remained steadfast against Zionist greed, ambitions, and aggressions, as it took a firm stance in this matter, cooperating with everyone who stands against the Israeli occupation.
Syria-Iran relations improving
The President went on to say that relations between Syria and Iran were improving as the axis of evil, led by the Zionist entity and the United States, wove various conspiracies against Syria, and the question is how terror groups were formed, how they were supported, and who facilitated their access to Syria. He further noted that one of the former presidential candidates in the United States said, "We are the ones who created ISIS," which he described as a blatant American acknowledgment.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry's spokesperson had lambasted the US on April 21 as the "godfather of Daesh" after the newest participant in the US presidential campaign, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., reaffirmed the fact when launching his candidacy.
The Iranian head of state detailed that Syria was not a poor country, but rather rich in its agriculture, people, and resources, and that it could witness massive economic growth. He added that the US and some Western nations allied with "Israel" were unable to weaken Syrian military so they are weakening its economy, asserting that the US will be defeated through the "resistance of the Syrian people as the victory will be their ally.”
On Iranian-Saudi relations, Raisi said that the two countries will change the balance of power in the region, and that the Islamic people of the region will support resistance and justice.
As for Syria-Turkey relations, Raisi explained that his country has affirmed that all Syrian territory should return to the Syrian State; and the Syrian government has to establish its control on all the lands, after that, security would return to the border region.
“There should not be any presence of Turkish troops in any Syrian territory,” he added.
