Region entered a new era of joint cooperation: Iran FM
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian says during a visit to Lebanon that Iran will stay by the country's side through thick and thin.
All the positive developments taking place in the region will lead to the collapse of the Israeli occupation, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Friday during a visit to Lebanon.
During a visit to the south Lebanese village of Maroun El Ras, the Iranian top diplomat underlined that Tehran supports the Lebanese resistance in the face of the Israeli occupation.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his accompanying delegation met on Friday with Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in the presence of Mojtaba Amani, the Iranian Ambassador to Beirut.
Sayyed Nasrallah and Amir-Abdollahian discussed the latest regional developments, especially the Iranian-Saudi agreement and its repercussions on countries of the region, as well as the latest developments in Lebanon and occupied Palestine.
Amir-Abdollahian on Wednesday arrived in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, after concluding his visit to Oman, on an official visit in which he discussed with Lebanese officials the latest developments in the region.
The visit to Beirut, Amir-Abdollahian said, came as a way for Iran to announce its "unwavering support for the people, the army, and the Resistance in Lebanon."
Following his meeting with the Lebanese resistance chief, the Iranian foreign minister said he received many accurate assessments from Sayyed Nasrallah, who also assured the top diplomat that the Lebanese and Palestinian resistance movements were "in the best condition".

Iran will stay by Lebanon's side through thick and thin, the country's foreign minister said, underlining that the region has entered a new phase of collective cooperation.

Amir-Abdollahian and his Lebanese counterpart Abdullah Bou Habib discussed a number of issues on April 27, the most important of which were the repercussions of the Iranian-Saudi agreement on the region, as well as the current situation in Lebanon.
The Foreign Minister's words came during a press conference held at the Beirut airport after he was received by the Lebanese Foreign Minister and some MPs and diplomats from the Iranian embassy.
He had declared upon his arrival at the Rafiq Hariri International Airport in Beirut that Iran sees Lebanese security as an integral part of the region's and Iran's.
In a joint press conference with the Lebanese FM, Amir-Abdollahian encouraged all parties in Lebanon to communicate and accelerate the electoral process for the presidency.
The Iranian diplomat assured that Lebanon's parties are capable of electing a president without any external interference.
He said that discussions took place between the two FMs regarding multiple issues such as the agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia and developments in occupied Palestine, Ukraine, Sudan, and Afghanistan.
