Resistance confronts IOF in Jenin, 4 settlers injured in Qalqilya

An Israeli Occupation Forces unit infiltrates Jenin and once exposed by the Resistance, confrontations erupt.

An Israeli occupation forces' special unit infiltrated the Al-Bayader neighborhood in the West Bank city of Jenin, on Monday, but the Palestinian Resistance exposed and confronted it.

According to local sources, the IOF have moved to position themselves on rooftops of residential buildings.

Initially, the IOF stormed the city to detain and neutralize targets of the Palestinian Resistance, and it was noted that the IOF arrested Ayham Assafira, Ali Assafira, Mohammed Mutawar, Basil Farah, and Abdullah Zakarna.

In turn, the Jenin Battalion of the Al-Quds Brigades said that its fighters had engaged in violent confrontations following the IOF infiltration of the Al-Bayader neighborhood and underscored that the Resistance targeted the IOF with guns and explosive devices.

The Qassam Brigades in Jenin also issued a press release, stating: "Our fighters are engaging in a violent confrontation with a special Zionist force in the Al-Bayader neighborhood and the occupation's reinforcements and snipers have been targeted."

Confrontations across the Occupied territories

Al-Jalama checkpoint, according to local sources, was the target of Palestinian Resistance fighters. The checkpoint is located west of the city of Jenin. While the checkpoint is often targeted with firearms, this time, Resistance fighters targeted the Israeli occupation forces with an explosive device.

Meanwhile, in the town of Azzoun, east of Qalqilya, confrontations erupted after the IOF stormed the town.

Large numbers of IOF stormed the town firing gas bombs into residential homes and onto the streets in an attempt to paralyze the town and gain cover.

However, it was also noted that the Palestinian Resistance in the town confronted the intruding force with homemade Improvised Explosive Devices (IED).

In the same context, Israeli media said, on Sunday, that 4 settlers were injured and 10 cars were damaged by stone-throwing in the town of Azoun which has been witnessing confrontations regularly as settlers often target Palestinian residents with the aim of capturing their land and expelling them.
