12 Palestinians detained in West Bank, total exceeds 11,400
On Sunday, Israeli occupation forces detained at least 12 Palestinians across various cities in the West Bank, including al-Khalil, Jenin, and Ramallah, according to a joint statement by the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners Society.
These detentions, as noted in the statement and reported by WAFA News Agency, have involved extensive raids and violent treatment of detainees, which include severe beatings and threats directed at both the detained individuals and their families, as well as property destruction in their homes.
Since the beginning of the ongoing Israeli assault on the Palestinian people in October 2023, the total number of Palestinians detained by Israeli forces in the West Bank has exceeded 11,400, including those from al-Quds, according to the statement.
Furthermore, reports suggest that the Israeli occupation continues to detain Palestinians in Gaza, especially in the northern areas, including women, children, and medical staff.
Human rights organizations have maintained that since the beginning of the Israeli genocide, they have struggled to accurately monitor the number of detentions in Gaza, which are estimated to be in the thousands.
