The al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades announced on Wednesday that they targeted the Israeli military checkpoint at Awarta, south of Nablus, with a barrage of gunfire, reportedly inflicting direct casualties within the ranks of the Israeli occupation forces.
In a separate incident early this Wednesday, the Brigades confronted an Israeli incursion into the Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus. Fierce confrontations erupted, with the Resistance fighters using automatic weapons and explosive devices to repel the forces.
Meanwhile, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades fighters in Tubas engaged in intense battles with Israeli forces around the Fara'a refugee camp, employing automatic rifles during the confrontation.
Concurrently, Israeli occupation forces stormed the Balata refugee camp, accompanied by a military bulldozer. The forces spread through multiple neighborhoods, firing heavily as they raided several homes, searching through belongings and causing widespread damage.
In another operation, IOF also entered the town of Tamoun and surrounding areas near the Fara'a refugee camp south of Tubas. The forces, backed by military patrols and bulldozers, passed through the villages of al-Nasariya and Wadi al-Fara'a. Israeli reconnaissance drones were spotted overhead throughout the operation, while gunfire was heard during the incursion.
Reinforcements were dispatched from the Hamra checkpoint, and Israeli forces positioned themselves near the main road linking the Fara'a camp and Tubas as part of the ongoing raid.
Mass arrests are ongoing
Israeli forces arrested five Palestinians from Tamoun early today and imposed additional military restrictions at the Tayasir checkpoint, east of Tubas.
Elsewhere, IOF carried out raids in several areas across the West Bank, arresting Palestinians and conducting house-to-house searches. These included the towns of Arraba, south of Jenin, al-Mazra'a al-Gharbiya, north of Ramallah, and Beit Fajjar, south of Beit Lahm.
In the Beit Lahm Governorate, forces also stormed the town of al-Khader and the villages of Marah Rabah and Harmala.
In al-Khalil Governorate, Israeli forces arrested eight Palestinians from various locations, including the towns of Dura, southwest of the city, and al-Shuyukh.
In Salfit Governorate, IOF arrested another eight Palestinians and raided several homes in the town of Deir Istiya, vandalizing their contents during the operation.
It is worth noting that Israeli occupation forces have detained 12,100 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including the eastern part of occupied al-Quds, since the start of the war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) confirmed last month.
