The Palestinian Islamic Jihad's (PIJ) al-Quds Brigades - Tubas Brigade released a statement near Wednesday dawn, saying that its fighters led fierce confrontations with the invading Israeli forces.

Emphasizing that their operations come in line with the battle of Al-Aqsa Flood, the Tubas Brigade said that its fighters confronted the Israeli forces on several axes in the city, using assault rifles and locally produced IEDs.

The Brigade claimed responsibility for the detonation of the IED that targeted an Israeli military bulldozer near al-Ahmadain roundabout, adding that its fighters also directly engaged ground forces in the area.

According to the statement, several IEDs were set off by the Brigade's sapper units in other axes of confrontations. In the Tamoun intersection, Resistance fighters ambushed Israeli forces as they withdrew from the city, following fierce confrontations.
