Russia’s Vostok group of forces announced on Saturday that its units had taken control of the village of Volchye in the Dnepropetrovsk Region, according to a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry, which confirmed the advance as part of ongoing operations in the area.

"Units of the Vostok force group advanced deep into enemy defenses and completed the liberation of the village of Vovche in the Dnipropetrovsk Region," the Russian MoD stated, adding that Russian troops raised Russian flags across the territory.

"We have liberated the settlement from the enemy's presence, raising the flags of Russia on its territory," the statement says.

The ministry further noted that through coordinated efforts between UAV operators and artillery crews, assault units managed to push forward, breaching over three kilometers into Ukrainian defensive lines and ultimately clearing the settlement of opposing forces as part of their continued advance in the region.

According to the ministry, control over Vovche was secured by assault units belonging to the 36th Guards Brigade under the 29th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Vostok group of forces, which successfully broke through Ukrainian defensive positions situated north of the recently liberated settlement of Alekseevka as their advance continued across the front.

Kiev loses 480 troops

Russia’s Tsentr group of forces eliminated more than 480 Ukrainian troops over the past day, the Russian Defense Ministry announced on Saturday. "In total, in the area of responsibility of the Center group of forces, the enemy lost over 480 servicemen, a tank, two combat armored vehicles, a pickup truck, and an electronic warfare station," the ministry said in a statement.

Furthermore, the ministry reported that Russia’s Vostok group of forces eliminated more than 285 Ukrainian servicemen along with three combat vehicles and 14 other pieces of equipment over the past 24 hours as part of continuing operations across the front.

The statement added that Russia’s Zapad group of forces neutralized more than 220 Ukrainian servicemen while destroying four armored combat vehicles, among them two US-made HMMWV vehicles, along with 23 other vehicles, two self-propelled artillery systems, and a Grad multiple launch rocket system. The Sever group simultaneously eliminated 195 Ukrainian troops in separate operations across the northern front.

The ministry reported that Russia’s Yug group eliminated more than 80 Ukrainian personnel, along with two tanks, three mechanized brigades, a marine brigade, and a territorial defense brigade near the settlements of Seversk, Zvanovka, Konstantinovka, Ivanopolye, Dronovka, Druzhkovka, and Vasyukovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic over the past 24 hours as part of ongoing operations in the region.

The ministry stated that the Dnepr group neutralized up to 70 Ukrainian militants and targeted equipment from mechanized, mountain assault, and coastal defense brigades, destroying 12 vehicles, seven electronic warfare stations, and five ammunition depots during its operations.
