Russian aviation destroys 2 Ukrainian reconnaissance groups: MoD
The Russian Defense Ministry says Russian aviation thwarted two rotation attempts of Ukrainian troops in the Kharkov region.
A Russian Defense Ministry spokesperson confirmed that aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces has destroyed two Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups in the Kupyansk direction, also known as the Kharkov region.
"In the Kupyansk direction, the army aviation … destroyed two platoon strongholds and three shelters of personnel south of the village of Olshany [Vilshany]," the spokesperson told Sputnik.
He added that "two sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the enemy were discovered and destroyed in the area of the Molchanovo and Krakhmalnoe [Krokhmalne] villages."
The Russian Defense Ministry spokesperson also noted that Russian aviation has also thwarted two rotation attempts of Ukrainian troops in the region.
On Saturday, the Russian Defense Ministry said Russian aviation destroyed a depot of Ukrainian weapons and artillery.
It was reported that Ukrainian forces lost 600 MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket Systems) shells.
"Aircraft operating in the interests of the southern group of troops in the Alexandr-Kalinin direction struck at the enemy's missile and artillery weapons depot in the area of ​​​​the Sergeevka village. As a result, up to 600 MLRS rockets were destroyed," the Russian Defense Ministry spokesperson told Sputnik.
He added that two other Ukrainian strongholds were targeted in the Avdiivka direction (south of Sergeevka), and in the Marinka direction (in the southeast direction) several sites of the Ukrainian forces’ temporary deployment were targeted.
