The Russian Defense Ministry announced that Russia's armed forces have taken control of the entire territory of the Kherson region, south of Ukraine.
The Ministry's Spokesperson, Major General Igor Konashenkov, also announced on Tuesday that DPR troops are continuing their offensive operations and have managed to break through the defenses of Ukrainian nationalists, and retook control of a settlement in Donetsk.
Moreover, Russian paratroopers have seized 10 Javelin anti-tank missile systems after they captured a Ukrainian nationalist post. All the weapons seized by Russia's forces are being transferred to DPR and LPR forces, Konashenkov stressed.
As for the operation's results, the spokesperson said that over the past day, Russia's Aerospace Force have shot down 16 air targets, and destroyed three hangars at a military airport.
Since the start of the operation on February 24, Russia's military destroyed 156 drones, 1306 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 127 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), 471 field artillery guns and mortars, as well as 1,054 units of special military vehicles, Konashenkov declared.
